SVN Speaker Bureau
Exciting news! SVN is proud to introduce the SVN Speakers’ Bureau as a tool to connect members of the Society with professional speaking opportunities. Local, regional, national, international, and multimedia organizations solicit the expertise of vascular nurses through SVN. The Bureau provides a means to promote your expertise and availability for discussions and presentations about specialized vascular care topics. How does it work? SVN’s Collaboration Committee initiates the introduction between speaker and client based on the needs of the client and the clinical expertise/interest of the SVN member. Thereafter, the speaker will decide whether they wish to accept the invitation from a potential client. All further arrangements are made only between client and speaker. The Bureau’s policy is not to collect a speaker’s fee. However, Bureau speakers may accept any honoraria and expense reimbursement offered by or negotiated with the client. SVN and its Speakers Bureau do not guarantee speaking engagements for any speaker on its Bureau, nor does it guarantee any specific number of presentations. Basic Information & Instructions: 1. SVN Members must be in good standing (dues paid in full) to apply for the SVN Speakers’ Bureau. 2. Applications are accepted all year and will be acknowledged upon receipt. 3. Applications are considered quarterly; it may take up to 12 weeks for a decision to be rendered on your application. Reviews are heavily dependent on a volunteer task force, and all attempts will be made to get back to you as soon as possible. 4. To be considered for the SVN Speakers’ Bureau please include the following with your application: • Current CV, headshot (jpeg format), and a short biography • Two references including the following information: Contact Person’s Name, Title, Company Name, Phone Number, Email Address (If available, provide Event Name, Date and Title of Your Presentation.)
